Montenegrin Minister of Defence Boro Vucinic visited Nicosia on the occasion of signing the Agreement on Defence Cooperation with his Cypriot counterpart Kostas Papakostas.
The Agreement forms the basis for future defence cooperation.
On that occasion, Montenegrin Minister briefed his counterpart on the strategic goals of Montenegro to become a full member of NATO and the EU.
Head of the Military Cooperation Division (MILCoop) at Joint Forces Command Naples - JFC Brigadier General Gerhard Schulz visited Montenegro. During his farewell visit, General Schultz met with the chief of General Staff of the Army of Montenegro Vice Admiral Dragan Samardzic and Deputy Minister for Defence Policy Drasko Jovanovic.
A delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Turkey, led by Captain Bulent Ozebek , Head of the European Section of the Turkish General Staff , payed a visit to the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro. Minister of Defence Boro Vucinic welcomed the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Milan Jezovica. Jezovica expressed his satisfaction over the increasing support for Montenegro's membership in NATO and stressed that Slovakia is ready to provide any assistance in the Euro-Atlantic integration. He was interested in what are the main challenges that Montenegro will meet along the Euro-Atlantic way in the future.
